With the arrival of the family of 8 new blues the yard has been hectic. I have been worried about my 4 eggs even before that because of their size. I had
seen that before with the first ones she laid. On Sunday I used the pine needle in the opening to see if they were checking the box. It has not been moved so
there's been no activity at in 5 days. I'm probably going to remove the nest. This late in the season I doubt there will be another one but Burton
wants to get it fixed...

I am seeing just a little twinge of orange on what I think are the oldest juveniles that were hatched first in my yard. They come to the feeder that is about 5
feet from my glass den doors to get a raisin snack. I also see the adult pairs come to the feeder. Some of the juveniles are larger than the female. I have
counted 25 bathing and romping around the birdbath in the yard late in the afternoon. The last baby fledged at the state park on August 3rd. I still am amazed

OK, Another question? I have also recently purchased a mealworm feeder and ordered my first mealworms. First I mounted the feeder about 15 feet from my other
feeders is this to close? So, far I've had no luck attracting the Bluebirds to the feeder, my biggest problem is that it has been so hot the mealworms dry
up and die after a few hours I keep putting them out but it seems a awful waist. I have left the front cover off to let the birds find the mealworms. So what

though she seems to spend allot of time out of the box? I do catch her in it on some days when I check the eggs. It has been very hot here in NC in the
